Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters when people use our numbers to price jobs and choose machines. When we get something wrong, we correct it quickly and openly. This page explains how to report an error and what happens next.
Report an error by emailEffective date: September 28, 2026
Last updated: September 28, 2026
The short version
- Email errors to contact@cabandcargo.com with the subject “Correction request”.
- Our editorial team reviews every report and checks it against reliable sources.
- Safety-related errors are handled first.
- Significant corrections are noted in the article, so readers can see what changed.
Our commitment
Every article on Cab & Cargo is researched and reviewed before publishing, as described in our Editorial Policy. Even so, mistakes can happen, and prices, models and rules change after we publish.
We take responsibility for what we publish. When an error is confirmed, we fix it, and when the error is significant, we tell readers about it rather than changing the article quietly.
How to report an error
Our website has no forms, so all correction requests come by email. Send your report to contact@cabandcargo.com with the subject “Correction request” and include:
- The link to the article
- The exact sentence, figure, rate or specification you believe is wrong
- What you believe is correct
- A source, if you have one, such as a manufacturer spec sheet, official publication or published rate
- For rate reports, your country or region, since rates vary by location
Reports from people who work with machinery every day are especially valuable to us, and we read every one.
How we prioritise reports
We handle reports in order of their potential impact on readers:
| Priority | Type of error | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Highest | Safety-related errors | Incorrect load or lift capacities, unsafe operating or maintenance guidance, wrong safety requirements |
| High | Factual and figure errors | Wrong or outdated rates and costs, incorrect specifications, mistaken rules or requirements, wrong calculations |
| Standard | Minor errors | Broken links, spelling or grammar mistakes, formatting problems, unclear wording |
What happens after you report
- We receive your reportYour email goes to our editorial team at contact@cabandcargo.com.
- We verify itWe check the claim against the original sources and other reliable, independent sources, and review the article’s research.
- We decideIf the error is confirmed, we prepare a correction. If the information is accurate, we keep it and may clarify the wording.
- We fix and note itWe correct the article and, for significant errors, add a correction note explaining what changed.
- We reply to youWe let you know the outcome by email from contact@cabandcargo.com.
Simple fixes can often be made quickly. Reports that need more research, such as checking rates across several markets, may take longer. Safety-related reports are always handled first.
How corrections are shown
Significant corrections
When we correct a factual error that could affect a reader’s understanding or decisions, such as a wrong rate, specification or safety detail, we fix the article and add a dated correction note at the end of the article. It looks like this:
If an error was serious enough that readers may have acted on it, we place the note near the top of the article instead.
Minor corrections
Spelling, grammar, formatting and broken links are fixed without a correction note, because they do not change the meaning of the article.
Corrections and updates
A correction fixes something that was wrong when we published it. An update adds new information or refreshes figures that were accurate at the time but have since changed, such as rental rates that have moved with the market.
When we make a meaningful update, we change the article’s “last updated” date. Where it helps readers, we may also add a short update note:
When we disagree
Sometimes a report reflects a genuine difference in local prices or practices rather than an error. In that case, we may keep the original information and add context, such as a note that rates in some regions are higher or lower. We will explain our reasoning when we reply to you.
Removing content
We rarely remove published articles. We prefer to correct and update them so the record stays clear. We may remove or rewrite an article if it cannot be corrected, is seriously out of date, or presents a legal or safety risk. Legal requests should be sent to info@cabandcargo.com.
Your privacy
We do not publish the name or email address of anyone who reports an error without their permission. How we handle your email is explained in our Privacy Policy.
